Editor John Roper says Labour's is sticking to its manifesto to 'improve the UK's trade and investment relationship with the EU' but so far there is no mention of the free movement of people which is key to an easy trading relationship – and to filling the construction skills and labour crisis. However, it could be seen that those in this industry that import and export could find it easier (with Europe at least). What Starmer & Co have done is not enough, according to Roper but at least it’s a first step. It might be incremental…but we could make it back in yet.
